TCAP Head Start expanding

WARREN-The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families’ Office of Head Start announced that about $290 million will go to 665 Head Start and Early Head Start programs.

Trumbull Community Action Program (TCAP) received $363,099 in program operations and $263,940 in start-up funds as part of the nationwide award announced on January 4, 2017.

The agency will serve 157 children in full day, full year classes. Those classes will be held Monday-Friday. 

TCAP hopes to operate four full day classrooms beginning in February with four more opening in August of this year.

TCAP operates six Head Start Centers across Trumbull County and is expected to open a seventh one in the Northwest area of the county in the near future.  Currently TCAP has Head Start Centers in Warren, Niles, Newton Falls, Kinsman, Hubbard and Hartford.
