The Summer Crisis Program is operating from

July 1,2024 through September 30, 2024.

 

Appointments can be scheduled starting June 24th.

Eligible applicant/households may qualify for one or a combination of the following:

  • An air conditioner and/or fans
    • (if no air conditioner and/or fans was received from TCAP in 2021, 2022, or 2023);
  • A one–time payment for the regulated electric bill not to exceed a total maximum benefit of $500.00
  • A one-time payment for the unregulated electric portion of the bill not to exceed $800.00

 

Eligible applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Households with a household member age 60 or older, no medical documentation is required.
  • Households whose electric has been shut off, or is in threat of disconnection, or new service is being established or transfer of service or deposit
  • Households under the age of 60 with documented medical conditions by a physician. The medical condition is not required.
  • Customers who are enrolling in the Percentage of Income Payment Plan Plus (PIPP) for the first time or have a PIPP default.
  • Disconnect notice not required to receive a benefit.

 

There will be face to face interview Monday, Tuesday and Thursday by appointment only.

 

Wednesday you will no longer have to stand outside, just call 330-393-2507 extension 225 and speak to a live person starting at 7am.  DO NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE.

 

Fridays are phone appointments for those who cannot come to the agency for an appointment. A caseworker will call you at the date and time of your appointment.

 

 

 

To apply provide:

*Proof of income for all household members 18 years of age or older.                                                                                                     

*Social security cards or birth certificates for all household members

*Copies of most recent utility bills (primary heating and electric)

*Completed medical form from TCAP or physician medical prescription, if applicable
